Sometimes I am so saddened
By those people who in life
Will stand their guns and stick their ground
Through trouble and through strife
And even when they’re flawed
And know they’re in the wrong
They’ll sit it out and refuse to say
They’re sorry all along
And when they’re up against the fence
They’ll say the issue’s closed
Rather than apologize
In fear they’ll be opposed
But whilst admitting fault is never easy
Sometimes it is the only way
When a mistake has been embodied
Or a promise broken in a day
So don’t cower in the corner
When you slip-up remorsefully
But instead be contrite and be honest
And admit that you’re sorry!
