Achieving that bubble of emotion
That rides the high waves of excitement
Or more so about countered contentment
Bobbing about on the ripples
Negotiating the ups and downs
With calm and measured serenity

Ahead blue skies
Carrying away the weight of the world
In a breeze of summer comfort
Enlightening the heart
Uplifting the mind
Basking in the sun’s warm rays
Where worry dissipates
And contentment returns
We’re told to think outside the box
And yet it’s very true
That what a box contains and holds
Can be exciting too
Particularly when the said box
Is precious to behold
The box that makes you who you are
Your inner heart of gold
And then to think what is inside
Brings joy and happiness
For sometimes it’s what we have now
That makes us feel most blessed
And so whilst looking past the box
Portends ambitiously
Remember and uphold the best
Of all you presently
Have up to now; the person who
You are – the ‘stuff’ within
The secrets you already have
Unmasked – the best you’ve been
And that will give you courage to
Stride out across the miles
Discovering life way past your box
With confidence and smiles
Happiness is a state of mind
A choice that beams within
A warmth that graces heart and soul
The essence of win:win
The face that never fails to see
The goodness and the peace
The smile that’s worn consistently
And never fails to crease
The place where kindness n’er gives up
Where empathy unfolds
Compassion, love, respect and more
Step out as partners bold
And hidden deep right out of sight
It hums away and sings
In reassurance pacified
Spirit of great blessings
The sense of bliss and happiness
That welcomes in the new
With joy that runs so very deep
Warm spirit to imbue
That cheers you and inspires you
Makes those bubbles fizz within
Contentment in your home and heart
That signals a win:win!
There is no greater thing than love
No more than devine hope
No sweeter life than one that’s gives
Great succour extends scope
Nor one that is compassionate
Extends a hand so kind
That walks the earth with grace and peace
Contentment of the mind
There is no greater gift than faith
In self and purity
The cherishing of all that’s good
And of integrity
So may I pray that you will find
All these as you move through
This journey that we call the walk
Of life with blessings true
Forever in my thoughts, my heart
And also in my dreams
Forever in my mind, my life
Held dear in my esteem
Away on distant shoreline now
A beach so far away
The memories in eternity
The past alive today
A union’s chosen legacy
From times of utter bliss
Those days now that have died and gone
A life to reminisce
The harbinger of seasons sweet
Good eras that we shared
The love that then existed and
The joy that once was there
A pledge to hold and to uplift
With truth responsibly
To cherish a lost heritage
The best of you and me
And even though our love is lost
That love that has now ceased
Accepting what has gone before
Revives, inspires, gives peace.
