Enemy!

Have you ever stopped an wondered if
Your enemy became your friend
How much your worlds could then be healed
How much you’d make amends
For all the times of hatred
And all the times of pain
A joining of two forces
Where each could then refrain
From a world intent on bitterness
Anger, reprisal, doubt
And where compassion and kindness
Would prise the goodness out!

Poisoned Dwarf

When you come across a poisoned dwarf
The only thing to do
Is realise that in all truth
They’re evil through and through
Intent on nastiness and spite
Revenge and speaking ill
And sad to say they sour a day
Much like a bitter pill

But try and rise above the grief
And venom that they spread
For through the rolls of bitterness
A lost soul curls up dead
Within each one; a broken heart
A babe who’s known no love
Who fails to reflect kindness, grace
Bring peace on wings of dove

A story of great sadness and
A tale of woes; remorse
Where dwarf has been left wanting in
Time and throughout the course
OF a life that has little to
Rejoice about with glee
Less playing havoc with others
Driven by jealously

And so do not repay with hate
Try to not answer back
But stick to ways that honour truth
With light shining healing their cracks
To blast away the bad and bring
In goodness through and through
Reflecting kindness and hope for
Poisoned dwarf to imbue

Lost Girl

She lassoed the moon
Stole the stars from the sky
Switched off the sun
Let the light simply die

She siphoned the air
Suppressed love’s last breath
Claiming victory was hers
As he fell to his death

And as last one standing
She refused to concede
That her spite and her bitterness
Had made her heart bleed

And with ice in her veins
And a stone that beat not
Her hatred engrossed her
As she started to rot

Then the skies all turned black
And the darkness consumed
The lost girl, so tormented
Now dead in her tomb.

Dark Moods (Part II) – Hate

Isn’t it odd how
Those who hate hotly
Hound
Hassle
Even heckle
Those who they harbour
Hostile feelings for!

Yet hatred they say
Hints of love
Hankering
Nay hungering after
Him or her
Less the harmony
But still as heated in its heart!

Treat Him Well

If you treat him with contempt
Then that is what you’ll get
If you treat him with hated
Then he’ll learn and then beget
Ways that flow against the tide
That drown and then submerge
His will to walk a righteous way
That set him on the verge
Of courses that might navigate
Away from good to bad
That fill his heart with rocks and stones
And bitterness so sad

So treat him with compassion
With empathy and care
So he will mimic truth and good
And go right out from there
Imbued with truth and honour
Inspired integrally
With hope for better days ahead
A good trajectory
Soaking up the joy from learning
With a heart to contribute
Feeling the pat right on his back
And not the kick from boot

Smothering

Such interference; such control
It drives her round the bend
No trust; no sense of letting go
No hope of being friends
Just suffocation; in her face
Taking autonomy
Asphyxiating any breath
Where is her liberty?

A prisoner to another’s heart
A slave to their command
A hostage to their temperament
And serf in life remand
Where freedom is a distant shore
A flight from here to there
Where only dreams see sun chink through
This unending nightmare

Murder

So cold
Like stone or maybe ice
And hard
Hard as rock
Frosted and distant
Replacing any warmth
That beat red blood through his veins

And eyes
Black coals of menace
That stare
Stare with hatred
Chilled and piercing
Bearing into her
Burning spite by virtue of his optical pathway

And hands
His weapon of destruction
That grip
Grip to suffocate
Taking her life
Throttling her will
Leaving her dead to him and the world

What Kind Of World Do We Live In?

What kind of world do we live in
What hatred abounds
Where wars sap earth’s bounty
Where animosity is found

What kind of world do we live in
Where is the peace
The love and the kindness
When did that cease

What kind of world do we live in
With starvation and curse
Where is the compassion
Why does it get worse

What kind of world do we live in
Where murder is rife
Where each beats the other
And the only answer’s a knife

What kind of world do we live in
Without souls and no hearts
Where trusts have been broken
Or are breaking apart

Why kind of world do we live in
Where lies are complex
And dishonour abundant
Another reason to vex

What kind of world do we live in
What planet is this
Where Earth’s beauty is lost
A beauty I miss

What?

What fog hangs over planet Earth?
What mist veils beauty’s face?
What ether lurks with ill intent?
What gangs men race ‘gainst race?
What ill begets such heavy scorn?
What hurts grip each so much?
What lies, what torment, and what pain?
What power craves into touch?
What might then kills the innocent?
What maims to win a score?
What loathing for another one?
What hate sets men at war?

The Aggressors

Ahead a-top the barren hill
With grave of child in tomb
Taken ahead his time by hate
His soul snuffed in full bloom

His life taken so miserably
By words, by deeds, by they
Who persecute and strip him down
In the clear light of day

They, that twist deep in the knife
To maim and pierce his heart
Neglecting him and calling names
Sheer spite that they impart

Their inner loathing quite outplayed
No kindness; so forlorn
Compassion gone as they beat him
And steel his future dawn

And who are they by venom’s might
With terror constantly
The aggressors who wear him down
Til he hangs from that tree
