Farewell To Stepper Point

Farewell to Stepper Point
To Pentire Head today
To Lundy’s gaping hole
And Rock and Daymer Bay

Adieu to Polzeath beach
To Wadebridge and Padstow
To Rumps and islands in the sea
Now time to tally ho

To Cornwall fair and mild
With thrift and gorse so bright
Goodbye my lover by the sea
Your memories shine bright

Seagull

Okay we hear you! Yes we hear you!
Raucous bird we hear your call
Your rattling up in the air
To another seagull
We hear you squark and blether
To each other! Yes we do!
But really do you have to shout
And make this racquet too
So early in the morning
So early in the day
Oh noisy bird! How do have
So very much to say?

Star Fish

Stranded on the sea shore
Longing to be free
For ocean to wash on the beach
To gain my liberty

With sand so wet beneath my arms
A waggling my toes
I am a star fish waiting for
The tide to ebb and flow

Sea Selfie

I took a selfie by the sea
To see what could be seen
And saw a sea view behind self
That simply saved the scene
With seals all surfing seamlessly
Near sand by open sea
A seaside seascape simply said
To save the sea selfie
